I ran another 5k today!
I set out with the intention to only do 2 miles but my shins were feeling good and my mum was with me to keep me entertained so we kept going. That is actually pretty impressive because the basically the first 1 1/2 miles is a giant hill. We climbed 354.4 ft of elevation at a steady rate of about 11:30 mins/mile–no walking, no downhill. And then we felt like we could add another mile to the end. I was really happy to feel fit again after last time’s painful disappointment.
The course is in 2 parts because I got lost and tried to check the map and somehow stopped the timer. Oops.
